Terms & Guidelines

Introduction

The Course conducted by Fishlike Aquatic School is to help the learners to develop a level of basic swimming skills or triathlon training depending on the objectives selectively offered by our courses. The school uses the most updated skills and knowledge to teach our learners. Our Swim Teachers have years of experience and expertise to provide optimum learning.

Below are the Terms of Service which is very important to you. Please go through it and clarify with us if you have any questions. Thank you for choosing to swim with Fishlike Aquatic School.

TERMS OF SERVICE

By Submitting the Registration Form, you are hereby understood and agree to this Terms of Service. All service provided by Fishlike Aquatic school are not transferable from one person to another. Please note that we reserve the right to alter this Terms of Service without prior notice and will send an updated copy of the revised Terms of Service to the affected one.

Rules And Regulations For Swimmers

  1. Please be punctual for your sessions.
  2. Ask questions when in doubt.
  3. Have your name marked on all your personal training equipment.
  4. Swim equipment required by student:
    • Goggles
    • Swim Cap
    • Swim Suit or Swim Trunk
  5. The above items are available at the School for your purchases at a discounted member's rate.
  6. Always try your best and be positive.
  7. Please do your best to attend your scheduled lesson.

Bill and Payment Policy (applicable for TI Introductory Workshop and TI FFWS Part A & B only)

  1. Transfer Policy: If a request to transfer is received 8 days or more prior to the workshop, a S$100.00 transfer fee per person will be applied to a future workshop, and the deposit will be credited toward that workshop.
  2. Cancellation Policy: NO REFUND will be issued for cancellations LESS THAN 8 days prior to the scheduled workshop unless a doctor’s note can be provided. For cancellations 8 days or more prior to the scheduled workshop, any money paid above the $250 deposit will be refunded in full. The S$250 deposit per person remains non-refundable, but may be transferred to any future workshop within one year of initial registration.
  3. To Reserve: Call +65-6583 3031. If paying by cheque, your balance must be received in our office one week prior to the workshop to continue to hold your place. If you prefer to reserve with a $250 deposit, please call +65 6583 3031.
  4. Upon receiving your deposit, we will send you course materials, including a DVD of the drills we will teach, along with a confirmation letter including directions to the workshop.
  5. Please note: If a participant signs up less than 10 days before the workshop, they will receive the course materials on the workshop day.
  • WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY TI WORKSHOP

Bill & Payment Policy (applicable for FTSS only)

  1. Payment of swimming fee for monthly basis will be collected THREE months in advance.
  2. Payment due dates are fixed on the 1st day of third month.
  3. When making payment by cheque, please ensure that the swimmer’s name, day and class time is written on the back of the cheque and should be made before the due date and slot it in the plastic holder with the payment record card.
  4. When making payment by cash, it should be made before the due date and slot it in the plastic holder with the payment record card.
  5. All payment by cheque should be crossed and made payable to:

  7. In the event of purchasing swim gear from us, all payment will be made by cash only.
  8. Please note that there are certain months in the calendar year with a 5th week. There are no extra charges for the additional lesson.

Make-up Policy

  1. There will be no make-up class if your scheduled lesson falls on:
    • Public Holiday
    • New Year Eve
    • Chinese New Year Eve
    • Christmas Eve
    • 3rd to 7th day after the Chinese New Year
    • Any official school events
  2. There will be no make-up lesson for no-show or if you could not make it on the schedule class.
  3. Make-up lesson may be schedule for student only if they are ill. To be eligible for make-up lessons, a copy of the medical certificate or receipt is necessary and you must be a registered swimmer of the School.

No Refund

  1. School fees are not refundable under all circumstances. For example:
    • When you refuse to participate in the pool.
    • When you did not complete the lesson for the day.
    • When you are absent regardless of any reason, be it due to sickness, medical reasons or away for holiday, etc.
    • Withdrawal from the course.

Temporary Leave Of Absence

  1. If you wish to take leave from the School for a month or longer, kindly inform the School one month in advance in writing.

Withdrawal Of Class Policy

  1. If you wish to withdraw from the program, please kindly give us one month written notice prior to your next payment due date (refer to Bill & Payment Policy), otherwise a month’s fees will be imposed on you. The form is available at the office.
    Note: Absence from lesson does not indicate withdrawal from class unless the withdrawal form is received.

Bad Weather

  1. Please attend classes regardless of the weather. If there is bad weather, stroke drills, stretching and calisthenics exercises related to swimming will be conducted.

Pool Closure

  1. We will inform you ahead of time should the Swimming Complex be closed on certain occasions. An alternate pool will be designated.

Changes Of Swim Teacher

  1. When assigned Swim Teachers are ill or unavailable, a relief Swim Teacher will conduct the class. All Swim Teachers are trained staff of the School.

Indemnity

  1. The School is not liable for any claim of damages, accidents, injuries, costs and expense in relation to or arising during participation of the program. However, all training will be supervised under qualified Swim Teachers and all precautionary steps will be taken to ensure maximum safety of the swimmer.

Note: Fishlike Aquatic School reserves the right to accept, reject or terminate any person from the activities and programs of the school.

THE ENTIRE POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
