Happy Laps is the first TI workshop that addresses the real basics for non-swimmers.

How do I swim without fear of sinking?

How do I breathe in water?

How do I move with such efficiency that I will be able to swim graceful, nearly effortless laps for health, fitness or pleasure with absolute comfort and confidence?

Happy Laps, turning anyone into a swimmer

Happy Laps is a simplified approach to learn the skills of moving through water easily, comfortably, and so pleasurably that your practice time becomes the healthiest, most rewarding, part of your day.

Refined and enhanced by our FAS coaches. Happy Laps will nurture in you, step by step, a completely fresh way to move through the water. Some thing you would never experience if you once fear the waters.

Although available in self-help DVDs, our FAS coaches strongly believe in water safety and trained supervision. With an experience coach beside you, your steep learning cure would be made much gentler. Each session, designed to be thoughtfully-choreographed learning games and self-awareness exercises, eventually becomes an enjoyment of self-discovery.

Top

Module 1: At Home In The Water

Objectives: To develop a comfortable, trusting relationship with water; understand its properties, overcome common fears, and build confidence.

Divided into 8 exercises, you will learn to trust the water do what it does naturally - supporting your weight. Eventually, you would be able to calmly experience how your body behaves in a fluid. It is all in the mind!

Here, you'll also learn how to breathe comfortably in the water and how it feels to glide short distances effortlessly.

Top

Module 2: Weightless In The Water

Objective: To position your body and distribute your weight to get the water to support you completely and effortlessly.

Designed into manageable 10 exercises, you will learn how to float in the first 4 exercises. If you're an adult and haven't yet learned to swim comfortably, it's not likely you can persuade your rational mind after all these years that you can get the water to support you. Here you simply do floating exercises over and over, with help and advice from your coach, until you know "in your bones" that the water will support you every time.

Top

Module 3: Becoming Balanced And Slippery

Objective: Discovering a swimming style that will be easy to learn so you can quickly begin gaining all the benefits and pleasures of graceful, relaxed laps.

Having experienced the freedom of weightless, effortless movement, this 8 exercises will allow you to learn the perfect foundation for learning advanced strokes. Coaches would nurture the habits of flow, efficiency and ease, rather than struggle in you.

Top

Swim Smooth, Not Hard

Being an experienced school in the field of triathlon swim trainings, we have architected a unique style and approach towards this sport. Adapted from many proven techniques and ideas, we formulated a concise and effective coaching series where Fishlike Aquatic School differs from conventional training coaches to enforce skills and techniques. Here we concentrate on intense, focused training rather than swimming endless laps.

Fundamentally, we teach one to swim intelligently by having the water assisting an athlete rather than resisting him. This eventually turns all swims to be an efficient, elegant and beautiful display of power and speed.

Divided into 3 modules with progressive levels of training, this revolutionize freestyle swim series encompass the essence of Total Immersion (TI) and other swim technique all rolled up in one. Adapted for faster and more efficient learning, Fishlike Triathlon Swimming Series™ (FTSS) would prove to be more beneficial as a means to shorten your swim time while having you fresher out of the water.
